This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team to provide a unique and varied administration role.

SARC helps anyone who has been sexually assaulted or raped over the age of 18. We are seeking a compassionate and professional individual to work as the lone administrator for the SARC and Independent sexual violence advisor service. As well as providing reception and clinical administration duties, this role also helps maintain the forensic examination rooms to ensure they are stocked and cleaned. The post is for 30 hours a week, preferably over 5 days Monday to Friday, but flexible hours will be considered.
- To provide a high standard of service to all colleagues resulting in safe and effective treatments for service users & their families/carers.
- Duties provided within defined time standards.
- Compliance with appropriate legislation and LPFT policies.
- Feedback from colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Compliance with CQC and Forensic Integrity standards.
- Accurate and appropriate information is recorded appropriately using the Trust’s information systems.
- Productivity targets are met.

- To participate in providing a professional reception to the service, as and when required, and to ensure both telephone and personal enquiries are dealt with in a polite, confidential, and efficient manner. Communicating sensitively with anyone coming into the department maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
- Receiving new referrals, both routine and emergency and efficiently and accurately dealing with these to ensure they are made into a file, added to the electronic database(s) and allocated to a clinician in a timely manner.
- Contact client's following receipt of a referral within 48 hours to acknowledge the referral and book an appointment for TRIAGE directly with the TRIAGE specialist.
- To respond to queries and incoming calls on a daily basis, which may be non-routine and can sometimes involve information of emotional and distressing circumstances, ensuring prompt attention in a professional and sensitive manner, assessing situations and seeking further information/support where required.
- To provide a full and efficient secretarial and clerical service to the Team Manager and the ISVA team.
- All visitors to the SARC / Forensic side, to carry out DNA swabs for the national database and sent off as per requirements.
- Responsible for handling of petty cash to support the purchase of food items and occasional staff expenses whilst ensuring accurate receipts are kept and processed with accounts to maintain a required set amount, including the collection of money from the bank.
- Opening and closing up the centre building and doing morning checks, often with the team/others but occasionally maybe on own if first here.
- Manning reception and assisting helping with all that pass through including service users, police, other healthcare professionals and contractors.
- Gathering appropriate information from a variety of sources to input accurately onto a database.
