**Job summary**:
**_ The Insight Coordinator sits within the Engagement Division, the purpose of the Regional Insight team is to provide insight that enables intelligent decision-making. We work with leaders across UKHSA to ensure insight sits at the heart of our strategy, the decisions we make & the health protection initiatives we deliver._**

**_ The postholder will deliver the Insight Strategy working with all partners to provide local insight & support strategic decision making in areas such as policy. They will collate, analyse, interpret & provide regional & local awareness of situations of interest. They will support working across UKHSA, central government & regional partners to deliver our approach & ensure that policy & strategy have strategic insights about situations at a local & regional level._**

**_ The Insight Coordinator will support the delivery of our insight function & utilise appropriate delivery mechanisms to gather local & national situational awareness intelligence. Develop & share compelling reports & presentations that support policy making at all levels of government & provide feedback to influence decisions._**

**Job description**:
**As the Regional Insight Co-ordinator your main responsibilities will include**:
The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

- Coordinate provision of a national view of local issues, ensure policy & strategy understand issues & trends to inform the development of briefings
- Manage local insight collection, present to stakeholders in an appropriate & timely way
- Coordinate & develop insights, support joining up the dots & local systems partnerships
- Implement mechanisms to ensure regional teams are the main contacts for all health protection queries
- Facilitate interpretation of intelligence, deliver clarification & support local partner engagement
- Coordinate data benchmarking, maximise learning & inform future strategy & programme development
- Support all health hazards & health protection contingency planning
- Coordinate updates regarding all health hazards guidance, interventions & legislation
- Implement the Insight Strategy & Delivery Plan
- Conduct horizon scanning
- Support presentations to ensure local health protection insights are considered in policy development.
- Champion the use of insight
- Line management, encouraging feedback and continuous improvement, performance discussions & personal development of staff

**Person specification**:
**Essential**
- Significant experience of providing and presenting large complex information to organisations.
- Experience in leading and managing relationships with a variety of senior stakeholders across the system with different reporting relationships to achieve the best results.
- Ability to utilise excellent analytical and judgment skills, determining best course of action in challenging situations to secure effective delivery within a complex and demanding environment.
- Ability to draw on established evidence and best practice to challenge themselves and others to think creatively and seek out innovation to generate new solutions to current and future challenges.
