Senior Commercial Analyst, Central London - Media, up to £55,000
A newly created vacancy has become available in a large media planning and buying agency based in Central London. The role sits within a small commercial finance function, reporting to the Commercial Director. This is a brilliant role for auditors looking tomove into a commercial industry role or for CIMA qualified/finalist analysts looking for a step up in a large and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:

- With other key members, analyse regional / local market data to prepare the final pitch submission
- Consolidate large amounts of data into excel for Global Directors to review
- Ensure completeness of client deliverable templates by liaising with regional / local markets
- Once the client is won, communicate key terms to each market and work with local agencies to ensure all financial issues/queries and procedures are working smoothly in the first few months

- We lead annual fee negotiations for our Global clients. The senior analyst will be consolidating local market proposals into excel along with support by our analyst and perform an analytical review prior to review by the Global Commercial Director.
- On Global clients, we aim to regularly perform client profitability analysis to identify financial issues, and to pro-actively approach clients to re-negotiate fees.
- Within our contracts with clients, there are certain reporting requirements (e.g. AVB forecasts, unbilled media, staff tracking reporting). The senior analyst will work with our analyst and regional / local markets to collect the relevant data and reviewthe data
- Be a point of contact for markets to reach out with any questions regarding reporting requirements
Key Skills & Qualifications:

- ACA/CIMA Qualified accountant or part qualified finalist who is actively studying
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with external stakeholders/clients
- Happy to work independently and use own initiative
- Hard working and ambitious types
- Media experience would be preferable but not necessary
- Strong excel skills - advanced (pivot tables, vlookup) but not macros
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in an organised and efficient manner
- Must be detail orientated with ability to think strategically and analytically
- Ability to problem solve in an occasionally unstructured environment
