About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Commercial Team. QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC, specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems, including the world-leading Banshee target.

QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide, with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

What will I be doing?

**Duties will include**:
Act as a liaison between designated customers and QTS, address and resolve technical and support issues raised or identified for the customer.

Receive customer enquiries and prepare quotations in response.

Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is kept up to date.

Review and revise Commercial Department procedures.

Maintain a GDPR data base and conduct and annual communication to contacts.

Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs). Liaise with the relevant departments with regard to contractual, field services, production, quality, and design requirements. Generate proposals based on information gathered including pricing, contractual and time schedule requirements. Obtain authorisation and arrange submission of proposals.

Attend any necessary training courses relating to QTS products and services.

Attend internal meetings as and when required.

Ensuring customer equipment repairs are administered correctly, monitored on a regular basis and completed in a timely manner.

Administration duties including electronic filing.

Maintain proposal register and ensure relevant documents are present in commercial folders.

Loading orders on Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system.

Tracking quote and contract approvals.

Keep commercial department templates up to date.

Assist during quality system audits.

Maintain the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning report.

What do I need?

You will be qualified to GCSE level, or equivalent, in maths and English and have experience in generating commercial quotations/proposals.

You’ll also have good oral and written communication skills and demonstrate a high level of ethical behaviour in exercising judgement and discretion in matters of significance.
