They have been partnering with QA Apprenticeships since 2018, supporting apprentices across their Scottish offices. All previous successful apprentices have been offered permanent positions and many achieving promotions

Since 2018, they have supported 10 apprentices You will be mentored by the experienced Transport Planner who will support you learn everything you need to know about transport and logistics

**Responsibilities**:
This position will be a dual role, supporting the Transport Planning and Logistics departments. You will be responsible for:
**Transport**:

- Planning of vehicles and drivers to maximise efficiency whilst delivering high customer satisfaction
- Using the satellite vehicle tracking system, monitoring vehicle locations in relation to customer delivery and collection times
- Proactively communicating with customers regarding any delays to booking times and waiting times at collection and delivery sites
- Proactively communicating with drivers regarding changes to plan and additional customer requirements
- Communicating planned work for drivers ensuring information is imparted accurately and completely

**Logistics**:

- Coordinating all Air/Sea/Road/Transport Freight Export activities including quotations, bookings, documentation, reporting, system data entry, customs entries, shipment tracking and tracing, and billing
- Communicating daily with customers, airlines, road carriers, sea shipping lines, warehouse, overseas offices and sales
- Verifying weights and dimensions of cargo
- Advising clients concerning terms of delivery, payments, insurance and changes to transport bookings
- Checking and processing payable invoices
- Ensuring correct documentation is received for each shipment before processing

**Salary**:
£16,000 per annum

**Working hours**:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
