Job Description

**Transport Operations Coordinator/Planner**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Transport Operations Coordinator/Planner to join our team at Carntyne Transport Company Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods across our bulk transport network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Manage and optimize the use of our fleet, including vehicles, drivers, and trailers, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure our operations remain compliant and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport operations planning and coordination, preferably in a bulk transport environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations, including ADR and EU Drivers' Hours regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using transport management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
