Transport Planner/Operator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner/Operator to join our team at Carntyne Transport Company Ltd. As a key member of our bulk transport business unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transport Planning: Develop and implement effective transport plans to meet customer requirements, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods.
  2. Driver Management: Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  3. Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition and regulatory requirements are met.
  4. Customer Service: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support to meet their needs.
  5. Operational Efficiency: Analyze and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  1. Transport Planning Experience: Proven experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure success.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
