**Job Title** Purchase Ledger Clerk

**Working hours** 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with one hour lunch

**Reports To** Purchase Ledger Manager

Knowles Construction Limited are a construction firm specialising in the high-end residential market and are based near Edgware Road tube station. The role is office based in order to create a strong team working ethos.

You must be immediately available.

**Job Purpose**

This role is responsible for assisting the accounts payable team with accurate processing of purchase and subcontract ledger invoices as well timesheets with some reconciliations and other accounting control duties.

**Duties And Responsibilities**
- Answering telephones
- The processing of purchase ledger timesheets and sub-contract certificates
- The processing invoices
- Supplier accounts reconciliation
- Liaising with Sub-Contractors and Suppliers
- Other ad-hoc duties as and when required

**Desirable Work Experience And Skills**
- A positive outlook with a good attention to detail
- A keen interest to learn new skills
- Previous experience of working to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good organisational skills
- A working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office packages
- Working knowledge of VAT and CIS

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
