Tackling Health Inequalities in South Yorkshire is a key priority for the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. To support this work the MCA made a signature investment of £2.2m to make sure that every child in South Yorkshire has a bed, crib, cot or moses basket to sleep in.

To ensure that we deliver on our ambition requires us to work together with partners from the voluntary and community sector, early years practitioners, the NHS, primary and community care, local councils and public health.

**The programme is split across three separate strands**:
1) Deliver a Bed and Bedding for every child who needs it in South Yorkshire 2) Test and learn: 4 test and learn pilots in Goldthorpe, Mexborough, Swinton and Gleadless 3) Evaluation: testing a different way of working at a community level as well as delivering improved health outcomes for CYP in South Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities
To bring all this work together we are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated and experienced Programme Manger to lead the delivery of these three key strands; managing relationships with the delivery partner, working with local partners to support the pilots develop and deliver and ensuring the evaluation work is completed effectively building a compelling case for further action and investment.

The role will require office presence within our Sheffield Head Office as well as the ability to travel to partners across the region.

Previous experience as a Programme Manager (or in a similar role) in a complex environment and across agencies.

An understanding of local government and NHS infrastructure and ways of working.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective working with colleagues and stakeholders.

Outstanding organisational and multitasking abilities with an attention to detail.
