Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well-established local charity in the recruitment of a Part-time Senior HR Co-ordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced to contribute to the provision of a comprehensive HR service. The role is hybrid, working from the Sheffield city centre and from home, working 3 or 4 days per week or across 5 shorter days with a salary of £34,400 pro rata.

Key duties include:

- Provide a comprehensive HR advisory service on recruitment, selection, appointment and exit to ensure legislative requirements, company procedures and headcount/staffing plans are met
- Provide advice and guidance on a range of HR issues, policies and procedures, and employment law with reference to SLT where Company-wide implications exist
- Provide support to line managers to ensure that cases of disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance are effectively managed and resolved
- Line manage the Payroll, Pensions and HR Administrator, and the HR Officer
- Undertake specific projects as they arise to ensure the HR service is both responsive and proactive in line with the organisation’s strategic plan and HR service plan
- Act as HR representative on committees and working groups, such as Health and Safety etc
- Oversee the work of work experience/volunteers/interns/placement students as required
- Liaise with employment agencies, DBS, HR service suppliers, government, professional, legal and other external contacts as necessary
- Contribute to the development of effective working relationships with union representatives, to promote a positive employee relations climate
- Maintain an overview of absence issues across the organisation, working with managers to identify any trends or general issues and ensuring these are addressed
- Have overall responsibility for the annual HR budget
- Coordinate the establishment, development and implementation of HR policies, practices and procedures to ensure legislative requirements and the needs of the service are met.
- Provide accurate HR information, reports and analysis to SLT and other line managers as required.
- Actively promote the Westfield and Employee Assistance Programme to all employees, support health and wellbeing initiatives and consistently promote appropriate utilisation of the Occupational Health service.
- Design, deliver and coordinate HR-related training and workshops to line managers and employees to meet organisational and individual needs.
- Provide coaching to line managers to enable them to effectively develop and engage their teams, supporting the development of the organisation’s Learning Plan and arranging courses and other learning opportunities as identified through individual PDRs/supervisions.
- Maintain personal development and conduct learning and development activities to increase related skills and knowledge to ensure compliance with employment law and the promotion of best practice.
