**Job summary**:
The Office of Government Property (OGP) is a business unit of the Cabinet Office, leading the Government Property Function, setting strategy and delivery standards for multiple Government-wide programmes, and leading the Property Profession of 7,000 professionals across Government.

The Private Office team is a small but impactful team that provides support to the Senior Exec to ensure the delivery of the strategy and the ambitions within it. At the most basic level, this means ensuring the DG and Director have the right papers and briefings for the engagement they are carrying out. But it also involves significant stakeholder management, acting as a check on demands for the DG/Director's time and providing quality assurance.

**Job description**:
**Responsibilities**
- Supporting the DG and Director as senior civil servants within the Cabinet Office and leaders of the Function;
- Coordinating, writing and quality assuring briefings, clearance of papers, preparing of agendas, taking minutes of meetings, highlighting and management of emerging issues;
- Ensuring the DG and Director are well prepared and briefed for meetings and speaking events;
- Day-to-day coordination on diary matters with the EA/Diary Manager;
- Working closely with Senior Leadership Team to understand priorities and issues, collating papers, and engaging with key stakeholders both internally and externally;
- Tracking and progressing all actions commissioned by the DG and Director to wider teams;
- Forging effective networks and relationships across the Department and the wider Civil Service.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Desirable skills**
- Competent in using Google for drafting and collaboration
- Secretariat experience of providing high-quality meeting support and taking the lead in setting agendas, taking minutes and agreeing follow-up actions
- Ability to understand wider connections and relationships and recognise how these should be utilised/managed in different contexts
