Managing the companies payroll portfolio
- Dealing with day-to-day payroll related queries
- Setting up new PAYE schemes throughout the year
- Processing CIS returns and pensions
- Management of weekly timesheet submissions (checking start and leave times against CRM system, checking overtime against submissions, calculate accurate weekly pay)
- Processing, and reconciliation of weekly PAYE payroll to maintain compliance with contractual and statutory obligations and ensure accuracy to include year-end processes (P11D and P60).
- Managing Sub-Contractor payment including CIS returns
- Support New starters with registration processes and ensure all compliance information is received
- Administer Workplace Pensions Scheme
- Respond to employee queries
- Maintain payroll records and files
- Liaise with HMRC to ensure all records are submitted on time, are fully compliant and up to date.
- General accounting knowledge would be preferable
- Experience in Simpro would be beneficial, as we use this job management system.

The ideal Payroll Assistant must have good experience of Sage and working knowledge/experience of various auto enrolment pensions and CIS.
