**About The Role**:
**Salary**:£30,867 FTE per annum (pro rata - £25,027 per annum)**

**Location**: Chelmsford Head Office with home working

**Hours**: 30 hours per week

**Contract**: 12 month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover

ECL are looking for a Payroll Administrator to work on a 12-month fixed term contract to support the Payroll Team in delivering a high quality, customer focused Payroll Service to customers by ensuring that efficient and effective Payroll administration processes are followed.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the Payroll Manager, and indirectly the Head of Finance and Head of HR are supported in delivering a high quality, customer focused Payroll Service to employees.

**About You**:
**To be considered as Payroll Administrator, you need**:

- Think creatively, challenging the norms, and constructively challenging those around you (including those more senior) to ensure continuous improvement, commercial astuteness, and inspire the same in colleagues.
- Support the Payroll Manager in ensuring the payroll activities and any events are processed effectively and in accordance with Payroll deadlines
- To maintain professional standards, conduct and credibility in alignment with the wider Finance Team, and develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Solid administrative experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
- Confident MS Word, Excel, and Outlook user
- Ability to work well under pressure, within a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to work on own initiative
- Flexibility of working hours to meet business needs
- Knowledge and understanding of Payroll processing
