**Payroll Specialist (Hybrid)**
We are currently working with a leading UK business that is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist. The position is mostly remote-based but would require you to come into the office once a month (Essex). This is a full time, permanent role.

**You Role**
You will be processing Payroll, ensuring that colleagues are paid correctly and that the appropriate information is communicated, and payments are made to the pension providers, HMRC and other statutory and pension scheme bodies.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the processing and analysis of the payroll process from start to finish. You are detail-oriented, have outstanding customer service and work collaboratively. An understanding of payroll reconciliationsis also required, plus strong Excel skills.
**You Responsibilities**
- You will drive team performance and achievement of KPIs, in a positive and professional manner
- You must ensure correspondence to all internal and external customers is managed in a timely, concise, and clear manner
- You will ensure all administration and systems are accurately updated on time to enable department KPIs to be achieved following statutory and contractual obligations and timescales to produce the monthly payroll
- You will communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with other business areas, building relationships to complete tasks on time to ensure efficiency within the department and business
- You will produce accurate regular and ad-hoc reporting to internal customers as well as for your function
- You must ensure that all statutory and voluntary payroll deductions and payments are made on time
**Your Skills**
- You have 2+ years’ relevant experience in the payroll function, ideally a large volume
- You must have experience with payroll in the UK
- If you have Payroll experience in other European countries, it would be beneficial
- You have experience with UK Pension auto-enrolment
- CIPP Certification a plus; Payroll Technician Certificate or above
- Experience with ADP iHCM system preferable
- You have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a collaborative work style, openness to coaching and a commitment to getting the job done
- You can adapt to change and offer ideas for improvement to the process
- You have experience with inquiries with the HMRC internal and external
