Children's Community Autism Practitioner

The LSCFT NHS Foundation Trust CYP Keyworking and Autism Intensive Support Service are looking for an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Community Practitioner to provide time-limited support to autistic children and young people aged 4 - 18 years to prevent unnecessary or avoidable admissions to mental health hospital settings.
The applicant must be a Registered Health Professional with up to date knowledge, of health policy and legislation applicable to autistic children and young people, and proven skills in working with autistic children/young people who have complex health needs. The post holder will be responsible for a team caseload and supervision of other practitioners (registered and unregistered), to provide strong clinical leadership and supervision within the CYP Keyworking and Autism Intensive Support Service.
The post holder will work Monday to Friday 9-5pm, with the possibility of working between the hours of 8am and 8pm including weekends if required to meet the needs of the team and the wider network.
The Service strives to provide forward thinking high quality services, working in partnership with other agencies. In addition to working with autistic children and their families we have a strong commitment to public health, promotion of safeguarding and effective risk management through service development and training initiatives working within an enthusiastic and experienced team.
