Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Children with Autism

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in one of our Preston schools. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students with autism, both in the classroom and in 1:1 settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral management strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each child's learning.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Support students during school activities, both in and outside of the classroom.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or in a similar role.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or teaching assistance (preferred but not essential).
  • DBS clearance (or willing to obtain).
