Operations Manager
**Remuneration**:
£25,000 + but very much dependent on experience.
This role may suit a Graduate or an individual who has completed their A Levels but does not want to continue their studies.

Sealane Freight Ltd is a European trailer operator and freight forwarder and part of Star Cargo plc, a group of 7 transport-related businesses, trading since 1983.
Sealane Freight owns and operates a large fleet of Trailers and Trucks and is a market leader in the provision of European logistics services to over 350 UK and European Importers, Exporters and manufacturers.
Sealane Freight is financially strong, with an experienced leadership and provides an excellent environment to learn about commerce, customer service and the logistic sector as a whole.
**Main function of the job**
**Input Client orders into our Operations System ensuring that**:
1) Fuel surcharge correct.
2) Freight rate correct
3) All surcharges are correct
4) Quantities are correct.
**Assist with the completion of Customs formalities, for example**:
1) Agent pre-advice
2) Safety & Security Declarations.
3) Raising of GMR’s
4) Monitoring discharge of Transit Documents.
Telephone answering/query resolution.
Working closely with the Ops Manager you will be playing a key role in improving the efficiency of the existing Team.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)
- A confident personality with a can do attitude.
- A professional positive and helpful attitude to work colleagues, suppliers and especially clients.
- Numerate and literate with excellent data inputting skills and good attention to detail is a must.
- Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic.
- Strong organisational skills.
