An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 administrater to join the Camhs Urgent Care team in Hillingdon. The team is based in Laurel Lodge clinic, and it is a walking distance from Hillingdon hospital, and public transport.

The Camhs Urgent Care team respond to A&E for assessment, and follow up for children and young people who presented in crisis. Our specialists include nurses, assistant psychologist, social worker, and camhs consultant psychiatrist.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

To support the team on the day to day basis.

Open and close referrals.

Organise and plan MDT meeting.

Answer the duty phone.

Organise and manage the clinic appointments.

Report writing.

Data collection.

The post holder will be an important member of the team and will be responsible for the provision of an efficient administration service. Duties will include: supporting the team with the patient journey from referral to discharge; first line telephone response service, including with complex and often distressed patients and carers; ensuring the office is efficiently maintained to support service delivery; word processing and other MS office skills; scanning, problem solving and day-to-day queries from staff and patients. The post holder will liaise with all colleagues within the department and the Trust overall to ensure an efficient patient service.

This post requires the skills to provide a high degree of customer service and the ability to deal professionally with anxious, emotionally distressed and vulnerable patients and their families/carers. A high level of IT proficiency is also required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys a challenge and a variety of tasks, and has strong multitasking skills. You will need to have a good standard of education, previous office experience, excellent interpersonal and IT skills. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. Previous NHS experience is desirable.
