**The Role**:
The advertised post is for an Associate Practitioner within the Medical Physics Department based within University Hospital Wishaw.
The service includes the installation, commissioning, calibration, performance assurance and repair of a wide range of medical equipment. In addition, staff undertake duties in accordance with the quality system operated.
A demonstrable knowledge of electrical, electronic or engineering principles with a commitment to undertake further training and education would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Electrical Safety or PAT Testing and IT/software experience are desirable as are the following; practical experience on medical equipment, workplace practice and techniques including Health and Safety Regulations, working knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines and working within Quality management systems.
This post will also include some driving to Health Centres etc. to perform the above duties.

**What we'll need you to bring**:
HNC or equivalent in Applied Physics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 2 years experience repairing and servicing electronic equipment.

Further education /evidence of CPD activity in maintaining and developing skills in equipment maintenance.

Possession of team-working skills and the ability to motivate others.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Time management skills

**It would be great if you also have**:
Relevant equipment related training courses

Proven track record maintaining complex equipment in an ISO regulated organisation

Knowledge of and ability to test equipment found in an electronics laboratory

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008

Knowledge and ability to carry out fault finding on electronic equipment to board level and planning preventative maintenance as specified in manufacturers manuals and department protocols and instruction

Ability to work with tools and carry out electronic and mechanical repairs to a high standard

Access to a car

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday; 9:00 to 5:00
