**Depot Supervisor** - Newmains Depot

**Role Overview**

Reporting to the Head of Planning and Logistics you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities carried out in the depot. This hands-on point of contact will make sure that the depot is ran efficiently and provides a first class service to customers and business alike.

**Role/Responsibilities**
- Plan and carry out the preparation of stock ready for dispatch to site.
- Liaising with the Logistics team to establish the day’s priorities
- Control and record stock movements in/out of depot and complete daily counts and reconciliation whilst adhering to process, ensuring that minimum stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure that vehicles are loaded and unloaded accurately, safely and on time. All relevant despatch notes/ tickets are completed and signed
- Plan daily workload for depot operatives.
- Ensure that the team wear the correct PPE at all times
- Be expected to carry out all manual duties in the depot including the washing and repairing of stock
- Ensure depot is kept in a clean and tidy manner.
- Innovate to enhance the workplace practise
- The completion of any relevant checks and related administration when using equipment including FLTs and reporting defects if necessary
- You will comply with current H&S legislation and Company specific health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. Ensure all daily safe housekeeping checks are completed
- Ensure that all checks are carried out and recorded as per company process and defects reported. Identify and communicate potential issues and escalate accordingly
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all Company vehicles under your responsibility are driven safely, professionally and within the law at all times.
- As an employee of Davis Trackhire, you will be well presented, communicate professionally with any visitors on site and promote the positive image of the business
- Be prepared to travel to various sites/offices, which may include long journeys and occasionally be prepared to stay away from home.
- The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different

tasks as necessitated within the company
- Able to commit to emergency call out.
- Able to commit to extended hours where necessary

**Skills & Training Required**
- CSCS and/or equivalent Health & Safety training
- FLT experience and Certification essential
- fully competent driver with a clean driving licence.
- Basic IT knowledge
- Must be physically fit
- It is essential that you have good communication skills with the ability to influence and represent the Company in a positive manner.
- Self-driven, results oriented. Clear focus on Health & Safety Management.
- Good planner and able to programme works, provide reports and keep good site records and data.
- Numeracy
- Articulate and have immaculate attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of fabrication works and tools
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail

**Package**
- Salary of £28k (Based on 8-5 Monday to Friday)
- Overtime and Weekend work depending on the needs of the business

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wishaw, ML2 9BG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- Fork Truck Licence (required)
- CSCS Card (preferred)
