**Support to Study Administrator**:
The Conduct and Respect team within the Directorate of Student Life and Wellbeing is looking to appoint a Support to Study Administrator.

You will need to have strong communication skills, clear professional boundaries, an eagerness to learn, and be skilled at effectively prioritising an ever-changing workload.

**Department**:
The Student Life and Wellbeing Directorate works to enhance all aspects of student life and experience at the University of York by delivering a range of proactive and responsive services to students and staff.

The Conduct and Respect team is focused on dealing with instances of student misconduct and promoting a culture of respect across the University so students feel safe to be themselves.

They also have responsibility for the Support to Study procedure working to support students to engage in their studies and University life.

**Role**:
You will be pivotal to the smooth running of the Conduct and Respect Team.

You will arrange meetings for the Support to Study process and Disciplinary Meetings as well as taking notes in sensitive situations where topics such as sexual misconduct, use of illegal substances, hate crime, and bullying and harassment may be discussed.

You will monitor and improve the organisation of the teams case files as well as helping produce information for reports and extract data which will be used to help explain the work of the team.

You will also be a source of practical support to the team in the production and issuing of formal letters and other tasks.

Your work will help the team in their key aims of fostering a culture of dignity and respect within the university Community.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- High degree of attention to detail and ability to provide accurate, concise summaries and notes
- Able to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities, and to assist colleagues and senior staff in planning future work.
- Able to monitor and reflect on the quality of the services provided within their own area of work, and to contribute pro-actively to service improvement.
- Experience of, and commitment to providing an excellent standard of customer service to a range of stakeholders
- A proactive approach, with a ‘can do’ attitude, and the ability to use initiative to approach challenges with a positive outlook and suggest solutions
