**Department**:
The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York is a world-leading research-only department with a successful track record of health economics research spanning almost 40 years. It has over 60 research staff and an annual income of close to £6 million raised almost entirely from external competitive grant funding from a wide range of funders. It undertakes research across most areas of the discipline, with national and international collaborators and a wide range of policy and practice partners, and offers a suite of short courses to a wide range of professionals. CHE is a vibrant and diverse research department with a mission to undertake research that makes a difference to society.

**Role**:
CHE is looking for an excellent and experienced Administrator to join our support staff team. This is an interesting and varied position with a range of tasks relevant to ensuring CHE’s research profile and activities are communicated widely, both internally and externally, and maintaining the effective and efficient running of the department. You will provide excellent, proactive communications administration across a wide range of physical and digital mediums and have experience of working in a busy office environment, providing first-rate administrative support.

This role will require you to work proactively, using your own initiative, working independently and/or as part of a team, producing high-quality work to specific deadlines. You will possess excellent organisational and IT skills, and have the ability to liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external contacts/stakeholders.

This is the perfect position for an administrator who is interested in a role with an internal and external communications focus, as well as working with senior research leaders and being part of a friendly support team, including fellow research administrators, coordinators and managers.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- Level 2 qualification including Maths and English.
- Experience in designing, creating, updating and maintaining website/online content using a Content Management System (CMS) and/or other web design software
- Experience in managing multiple social/online media channels and accounts (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn posts, reposts, uploads and blogs)
- Competent in the design and production of a range of physical and digital documentation
- Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures and processes used in a busy office within a large complex organisation, and possess the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Experience of working in a varied administrative role and providing an excellent standard of customer service to a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats and to provide accurate, concise summaries and notes
