**Head of Apprenticeship Operations**

**The opportunity**

Following an internal promotion, we are advertising an exciting opportunity to join the Apprenticeships Unit as Head of Apprenticeship Operations. The role will have overall responsibility for funding returns, technical support, and e-learning, and ensuring the our apprenticeship provision is compliant with the regulatory requirements as set out by Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted, Office for Students, and other relevant internal and external regulatory frameworks.

**Typically, you will**:

- As a member of Apprenticeships Senior Management Team, provide strategic and operational leadership in the development, delivery, and assessment of apprenticeship programmes;
- Be responsible for leading the provision of high quality, effective and professional operational functions, managing teams effectively to maintain the Ofsted Outstanding status and full compliance with regulatory audit requirements;
- Take responsibility for the efficient and effective allocation of resources, including staffing;
- Lead on the ongoing review and evaluation of existing systems and processes, and take responsibility for driving improvements.

**What are we looking for?**
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and compliance regulations.
- Experience of preparing and submitting returns and reports to external bodies and of securing income streams.
- Evidence of having contributed significantly to project and departmental line management including the recruitment and deployment of staff and the allocation of resources.
- Experience of successful process implementation and management, establishing and developing support via internal and external partnerships.
- Experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver high performance.
