This is an exciting opportunity to work within the School of Oncology to promote and support Christie colleagues engage with and succeed in Apprenticeship Programmes, at every academic level. This role will be instrumental in marketing Apprenticeship opportunities and working with Apprenticeship Providers regionally and nationally to ensure high quality programmes and to maximise learner success. We are looking for a colleague who will be a positive role model for education and learning. You will need effective written and verbal communication skills and develop and provide relevant data and performance management reports.

The main duties for this role include (refer to full job description):
Plan, co-ordinate, monitor and audit delivery of the Apprenticeship training programmes for both recruited Apprentices and existing staff using national Apprenticeship Standards including clinical and non-clinical programmes from level 2 to level 8 (when available) in collaboration with local external education providers.

Liaise with managers, employees, external Healthcare partner organisations, Further Education and Higher Education colleges, Health Education England and other training providers to maximise recruitment, enrolment and completion of Apprenticeships.

Monitor Apprenticeships achievement against target and maintain the Digital Apprenticeship Service. Prepare related data reports for internal committees and external funding bodies such as Education Skills Funding Agency and Health Education England.

Plan, co-ordinate, monitor and audit delivery of the Apprenticeship training programmes for both recruited Apprentices and existing staff using national Apprenticeship Standards including clinical and non-clinical programmes from level 2 to level 8 (when available) in collaboration with local external education providers.

Liaise with managers, employees, external Healthcare partner organisations, FE colleges, HEIs, Health Education England and other training providers to maximise recruitment, enrolment and completion of Apprenticeships.

Monitor Apprenticeships achievement against target and maintain the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS). Prepare related data reports for internal committees and external funding bodies such as ESFA and HEE.

Promote Christie Apprenticeship vacancies through a range of media including online through the National Apprenticeship Website and through external organisations.

Assist and support managers recruiting Apprentices by advising interview panels to support managers in relation to the Apprenticeship regulations.

Provide Apprenticeship information and guide managers at all levels across the organisation with regard to newly appointed apprentices, in respect of terms and conditions, pay, annual leave, working hours, education requirements.

Provide support to recruited Apprentices throughout their training to maximise successful completion and minimise withdrawals. Support can be of a complex, personal nature and involve confidential issues around bullying, personal relationships, adapting to work and completing the qualification. These will be escalated to the Professional Development Manager or HRBP when they become highly complex or highly sensitive. (e.g. concerns over safeguarding, abuse, neglect, homelessness).

Be the key contact for issues relating to Apprenticeship qualifications. Ensure issues are addressed and refer to appropriate professionals (e.g. safeguarding) when appropriate.

Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information, where persuasive, motivational, negotiating, empathic, reassurance skills are required or where there are barriers to understanding.

Co-ordinate Apprenticeship training by planning, organising and attending training workshops and meetings.

Support the Professional Development Manager by monitoring the performance of training providers, setting up contract meetings, prepare agendas, take and transcribe minutes, distribute minutes.
