**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This role will support planning, delivery and co-ordination of specific vehicle projects as a group Scrum Master.

As a Group Scrum Master, you will be accountable for the delivery of MLA group workstreams to agreed time, cost and quality targets.

You will lead in creating, maintaining and driving credible plans and establish pre-emptive and effective risk management to avoid issues and could be dealing with a large cross-functional team across multiple locations.

**WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**
As a Group Scrum Master:

- Leadership (IS)
- Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The GSM major responsibilities are to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. GSMs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
- Guide team on introspection to continually improve agile ways of working.
- Representing impediments to Programme/Vehicle Teams via Obstacle process (JIRA tickets) - support with escalation in Obstacle Reviews
- Support the group in obstacle resolution i.e., helping removal of obstacles to Scrum Team's progress.
- Protects the Team from Outside interference.
- Conscience of Product Owner - Backlog creation & refinement, estimation, roadmap development and dependency alignment
- Encourage and empower that story are in place related to the MBIs for the group.
- Implementation (IS)
- Responsible for continuous improvement of collaboration and capitalise on agile techniques
- Helping stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work (from tools and process usage perspective)
- Assist in driving continuous improvement, transparency and consistency amongst the teams ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items which are linked to stories/features/capabilities.
- Capturing lessons learnt using the retrospective ceremonies.
- Ensure that the group members know how to check that stories exist related to their MBIs & how to check the status/ timing of them.
- Planning (IS)
- To monitor and support the squads and Group achieve MBIs each QBR period.
- Review performance charts every sprint to pinpoint challenges.
- Contributing to the delivery activities for my squad through planning and MBI assessments
- Promoting and soliciting of timely change requests as required
- Assures prioritisation and delivery of tasks to support VPF.
- Promote and assess the deliverables and commodity plan updates when necessary.
- Group SM to support & coach progression of PCDS deliverables & MBI-s* within respective squads, overcome challenges and constraints and progress deliverables to successful completion in time for downstream activities.
- Own VPM MBIs within the group including the 'how to
- / process/ data storage area etc in advance of work being done.
- Ceremonies (IS)
- Facilitate Retrospective (improve team efficiency), Daily Stand-ups and Sprint Planning/ Backlog refinement. Ensure Group remains focused on meeting objectives.
- Supporting/leading resolution of obstacles and align with other squads if necessary.
- Ensure AGILE Ceremonies are scheduled.
- Help Coordinate Showcase and make sure on time. Prepare meeting materials for Group Sync meetings to ensure effective info flow to team members.
- Support Squad(s) and Group Product Owner to run the BRP and Marketplace sessions effectively. Including any preparation of presentation materials.
- Scrum Master (IS NOT)
- Is not the JLR Specific Business & System Training provider.
- Is not the formal AGILE training provider.
- Is not the Product Owner and does not report to Product Owner in a hierarchical structure.
- Is not the owner of the Product Backlog.
- Is not the chair of Agile ceremonies.
- Does not pull/push discussion points into Domain Sync.
- Does not own MBIs outside PM function.
- Does not check RADS bookings.
- Does not perform admin on behalf of the Group and/or PO/PGL.

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
Essential:

- Experience in an Agile Project management role.
- Demonstrable history of high performance based on end of year assessments.
- Experience leading delivery and integration across PCDS programme lifecycle, employing pre-emptive risk and issue management.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity to pilot new business initiatives, whilst utilising existing programme management skills
- Strong track record of delivering projects with problem solving skills.
- Experienced at building effective cross functional relationships with strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
