**What the Clinical Coding Officer will be doing**
The ideal Clinical Coding Officer will be responsible for
- Coding cases by analysing and abstracting highly confidential information from electronic clinical records.
- Prioritising the order to which complex diagnostic and procedural coding appear to ensure maximum financial income to the Trust
- Working to demanding timescales and challenging deadlines
- Assist in the mentoring and development of novice and trainee coders

**What the successful Clinical will bring to the team**
This role is suitable for someone who has:

- Coding experience
- Excellent communication skills
- In depth knowledge of ICD-10 and OPCS
- Effective organisation and time management skills
