**Admissions Officer Job Description**

Waltham International College is a provider of Higher Education for adults that aims to integrate the talents of its students with their visions and aspirations to support them in their success.

**Reporting to the Admissions Supervisor/Head of Registry**

**Location**:Quayside 6thFloor, 260 Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2HF. Occasional travel to other sites may be required

**Salary**:Competitive

**Contract**:Full time 40 hours a week and permanent role, including weekend work

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Degree essential or equivalent;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team player
- Admissions Experience within an educational environment
- Enhanced DBS Essential

**Duties**

1. Assist with reviewing the development and implementation of Admissions related processes to ensure a consistent, transparent, and positive applicant experience.

3. Providing advice and guidance on admissions and recruitment processes and procedures

5. To work flexibly; on occasion away from the office and during weekend hours to ensure high levels of customer service

6. To deputise for the Admissions Supervisor as required

7. To undertake specific responsibilities relating to key areas of Admissions as defined by the Admissions supervisor to include, but not restricted to:
b. Criminal Convictions/Confirmation and Enrolment

c. To identify training needs related to Admissions processes and procedures and liaison with the Admissions Supervisor and implement as appropriate

b. An understanding as to how best to use relevant data reports and to contribute to developing and updating reporting

9. To use awareness of figures to contribute to Admissions and Recruitment strategies

10. Ensure high standards of customer service, including Providing a high standard of knowledge and awareness of the college’s requirements and Admissions processes

11. Representing Waltham International College at internal and external events

12. To continuously review Admissions processes, procedures, and policy to ensure they meet the needs of applicants

13. Establish working relationships with key contacts internally and externally, to best represent the department and the college as a whole

14. To liaise with the London Admissions and LTU Admissions departments on student intake numbers

15. To undertake professional and personal development that is appropriate to the role, and which will enhance performance, and to develop and maintain an awareness of the HE sectors and relevant legislation

16. Have a good understanding and use of MS Excel and database systems

17. To maintain and develop a CPD plan as a current and working document for self-developmental progression

18. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Admissions Supervisor or their nominee

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
