Designer Rooms is a premium furniture retailer operating throughout Scotland and headquartered in Irvine, Ayrshire. £10m Turnover business across 9 stores in Scotland plus eCommerce operations, with significant future growth plans. The role of Finance Assistant will support the finance team to cover all aspects of Finance within the business. The business has 80 employees.

Xero experience is _**essential **_ for the role. Preferably certified.

You should be highly organised, honest, discreet, and trustworthy with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience and have substantial purchase ledger experience.

Experience of Dext and Xero Payroll would be a benefit.

Good excel skills

**Main duties will include**:

- Reconciliations on Xero Accounting
- Support production of timely monthly Management Accounts along with monthly close
- Purchase ledger
- Cash/Sales store reconciliations
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Following up and dealing with supplier queries and investigating discrepancies
- Adhering to all accounts payable and finance processes
- Dealing with financial paperwork & filing
- Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items
- Reconciling expense claims
- Other financial duties and support as required
- Payroll Support
- Annual and periodic stock take support

**Person Specification**:

- 3 + years experience in Xero Accounting
- Attention to detail, task orientated and highly organised
- Problem solving abilities
- Experience working in an accounts team
- Xero payroll experience an advantage

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
