The Manor Hotel is a grade 2 listed building with 41 traditional en-suite bedrooms set on the edge of the traditional market town of Yeovil.

This striking Georgian manor house would be perfect for a Jane Austen adaptation. Built in 1727, it’s full of charm and character; and with it’s large conservatory overlooking our secluded garden, it’s a lovely spot to stay when visiting Somerset and **we are now looking for a dynamic meetings and events co-ordinator to join our team.**

**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**:

- To work closely with the General Manager to ensure bookings are managed effectively to maximise sales opportunities.
- Conduct show rounds of the venue with new clients
- Ensure all potential new booking opportunities are followed up and quoted correctly
- Hold detailed wedding meetings face to face with wedding clients
- Produce accurate invoices for weddings & events and ensure payment deadlines are met
- Produce function sheets for all events and communicate special requirements with the operations and kitchen team
- Ensure correct revenue management is applied to bookings to track sales
- Keep up to date with wedding trends and the local market
- Attend wedding fairs in the local area
- Liaise with suppliers and build new relationships and develop existing ones
- Create social media posts as appropriate for the event

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Previous experience within the weddings and events sector.
- Previous experience of a sales-orientated role
- The ability to lead, motivate and manage a team
- Competent IT user (Word, Excel, Internet). Previous use of Guestline is preferable.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
- Highly enthusiastic and motivated approach to work.
- Outgoing and approachable.
- Excellent oral and telephone skills with the ability to prepare written documents with impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience of events, knowledge of industry standards and knowledge of the local area are essential.

You will work a base of 40 hours per week across 5 days, which will include evenings and weekends.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
