**MARAC Coordinator (known internally as MARAC SPOC)**

**Location: You based in Yeovil, with the ability to work from home once training and probation period completed, as per the service needs.**

**Salary: £.21,348 Pro rata**

**Contract Type: Permanent 26hrs per week**

**Essential Requirements**
- Have knowledge of the MARAC process and working with people experiencing domestic abuse.
- Be confident and comfortable of working within multi-agency, and partnership working
- Understand the impact of and risk around domestic abuse, as per the Domestic Abuse Act 2021
- Be a skilled and able administrator and offer a full clerical and administrative service to the whole team
- Knowledge of civil and criminal remedies and the legal system as it relates to those experiencing domestic abuse
- Knowledge of the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse and how it relates to supporting/engaging victims and survivors
- Knowledge of a range of interventions and support within Somerset for victims of domestic abuse
- Knowledge of and commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Knowledge of local, regional and national domestic violence and abuse agencies
- Skilled at effective crisis resolution
- Skilled at IT including office packages such as excel, power point and word
- Ability to self-reflect and develop and improve practice through training and review
- Ability to work across the contract area and travel across the YOU area for training and meeting purposes
- Car driver with use of car and car insurance for work purposes

**The Role**
- The role of the MARAC SPOC is to work closely with the MARAC Officer, and wider partners, and co-ordinate the county MARAC response for high risk domestic violence and abuse.
- You will be the first point of contract for clients, professionals and others and will respond to referrals and enquiries about the MARAC.
- You will be responsible for collecting and collating data to ensure the smooth running of the MARAC and uploading accurately to our online case management system and collating data for reports.
- You will work to tight deadlines, ensure other agencies can access information in a timely fashion and that all referrals to the MARAC are accepted and allocated to the correct MARAC in Somerset.
- The role involves multi-agency working and engaging with local partners and receiving referrals from and attending the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and other victim focused meetings.

**The Service**

This role is within the integrated commissioned service covering Somerset. This innovative and exciting service works with both victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse as individuals and/or where they may still be a couple and wishing to stay together.

The integrated service offers a variety of support and interventions including refuge, target hardening, court support, working with children, working with couples and outreach, and recovery groups.
