**Role Purpose**:
We are seeking to recruit a Local Referral Clerk to provide a research function and administrative support to the Referral Unit within the Force.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide research and administrative support to the PVP Referral Unit.
- Maintain and update records and systems in the PVP Referral Unit
- Create and update records on Connect
- Process electronic requests and enquiries to the Referral Unit and prioritise as appropriate.
- Research persons using Connect, Smart Contact, PNC and PND as well as legacy systems.
- Liaise with internal departments, other Police Forces and Agencies.
- Produce clear and accurate research reports relating to vulnerable adults and children.
- Deal with internal/external enquiries.

**Skills and experience**:

- Experience of using Microsoft Word packages.
- Experience of working with confidential information.
- Must be able to type/input accurately. (You will be required to take a keyboard and audio typing test at interview).

Fixed: This is a traditional arrangement, applicable when the work is mostly required to be undertaken at a fixed single place of work (on police premises) for most of the time. The work can only or is more effectively delivered from a police premises or other agreed organisational/partner premises.
