Job Title: Dispatcher

**Salary**: £25,147 - £27,596 Per annum (Plus unsocial enhancements)

Hours : 37.5 (Varying shift patterns covering days, nights, weekends)

Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Ambulance Dispatcher

Dispatcher needed to safely and effectively deploy operational resources to emergency services calls. You will use call categorization and coding as determined by the triage process and policies in place. You will ensure no incidents are missed and are dispatched to in order of priority.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To ensure all calls are dispatched to ensuring safe, high quality and consistent methods and in a timely manner in order of priority as determined through the triage process or policy.
- To ensure consistent focus on operational performance and delivery of National Ambulance Response Performance standards.
- Report any incidents or concerns using the correct systems.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of preferred practices and safeguarding issues.
- Reporting to relevant stakeholders.

**Essential Experience and skills Required**:

- Full drivers license required.
- Understanding of the NHS Ambulance Command and Control System.
- Experience dealing with a diverse range of people.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- 4 GCSE's or equivalent Grade c or above including English

**Desirable Experience**:

- Ability to work in a high pressured environment.
- Experience working in the voluntary or health sector.
- Experience using a telephone / computer as a regular means of communication in a work environment
