- Friday 8am-4pm

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.

The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Providing reception duties for the phlebotomy team
- Checking in patients attending for their blood test appointment, using our Swiftqueue booking system
- Helping patients who have not made an appointment.
- Answering patient queries.
- Ensure that patients requiring urgent blood test are prioritized
- Liaise with the phlebotomy team and other Health Professionals

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous NHS experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience._
