**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cancer Services Team commencing as soon as possible for a Cancer MDT Co-ordinator, Band 4, full time.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will be responsible for supporting the Cancer Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). You will facilitate the meetings and record cancer information live onto the Somerset Cancer Register Database (SCR). You will collect, record and report a wide range of cancer data as required ensuring the Trust meets the cancer agenda including information collection for the National Quality Surveillance process and national clinical audits. You will be responsible for the tracking patients along their cancer pathway to ensure all national and local cancer targets are met.

**Essential criteria**:

- GCSE- O level Grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
- ECDL or equivalent demonstrable skills
- RSA typing or equivalent or demonstrable keyboard skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

**Desirable criteria**:

- Training or coaching certificate

**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Experience of working as part of a team and in isolation
- Positive attitude towards change and its implementation
- Experience of training others
- Recent experience of working within an acute healthcare setting

**Desirable criteria**:

- Working within a multidisciplinary team

**Skills/ Knowledge**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrate ability to use an NHS Systems including PAS/CRIS/ALS/Pathology
- Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective and responsible team member
- Ability to work to agreed time scales in line with policy and guidance by organising workload to meet priorities
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to co-ordinate meetings
- Understanding and experience of acute hospital out patient/inpatient pathways

**Desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology (AMSPAR qualification or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of all the national cancer waiting time targets
