Main duties of the job We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual who can work as part of a team and as an individual alongside our Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Teams to help improve the pathways and ensure swift diagnosis and treatment of suspected and confirmed cancer patients.You must be IT literate and have the ability to navigate Trust IT systems.
As well as being an effective communicator you must be able to communicate with a wide range of colleagues including admin staff, PA's, senior managers and consultants.
The ideal candidate must also be flexible in terms of hours of work as well as site of work.

You can also read more information about working at the Northern Care Alliance within the attached Candidate Information Pack or by visiting our careers website: Person Specification Qualifications Essential Recognised educational standards, GCSE 'O' Level Grade A-C or equivalent in English Language A level qualification or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge Desirable ECDL/Clait or relevant experience RSA 1 or equivalent typing qualification/ experience Skills & Abilities Essential Literate in order to transfer information on to a computer system and standard departmental documents Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal with wide range of NHS staff the telephone and face to face using tact and empathy Be able to prioritise own workload/use initiative in planning daily tasks Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels Knowledge, Training & Experience Essential Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications Previous experience of working within a team and also alone Experience of dealing with any changes to the service in a positive way Recent experience of working in a capacity & demand target driven service Understanding and experience of acute hospital outpatient/inpatient pathways Desirable Proven recent experience of working within the NHS Experience in using a database Knowledge of cancer waiting times/cancer performance Ability to use other internal Trust systems Pathology, CRIS, TIMS and ALS
