**Complaints Officer**

**Location: Catford**

**Salary: £15 - £18 per hour**

**Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm, 1 hour for lunch**

**Job type: Full-time, temporary 4 - 6 weeks with potential to go permanent**

**Purpose of the Complaints Officer**:
As complaints specialist you will champion complaints resolution and service excellence for our client and provide direct support for the business to respond to complex complaints and escalation.

You will also collaborate with staff, client, and contractors to ensure they put our client’s customers' needs at the centre of their approach to delivering services and contracts, so that disruption is minimised, and customers are kept informed in a planned and coordinated way throughout any repairs process in their home.

**Responsibilities of the Complaints Officer**:

- Ensure that customers receive a timely and detailed response to issues raised, in line with all relevant internal and external codes of practice.
- Undertake the day-to-day management of complaint handling. This includes complaint investigations to resolution, assisting with internal quality checking, monthly reporting including root cause and trend analysis and ad-hoc performance analysis and helping to maintain working relationships with servicing partners within the wider organisation to further enhance efficient operations.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team, so that they can better understand service-related areas where complaints arise.
- Deal with CRM (customer relationship management) cases and enquiries from customers around all aspects relating to responsive repairs and quoted works. I will consult with other colleagues, consultants, and contractors - as necessary to assist in my investigation, so a timeline and detailed response may be issued, following best practice and in line with set targets.
- Attend to the resolution of formal complaints in line with current codes and are kept to within Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Investigate complaints in line with the Internal Complaints Procedure (ICP) and resolved in line with Ombudsman code
- Interact daily with complaint customers and other associated stakeholders

**Requirements of the Complaints Officer**:

- Experience of working in a customer focused environment dealing with customers from a variety of backgrounds
- Experience of working in housing desirable
- An understanding of what constitutes excellent customer care
- An understanding of contracts and knowledge of the major works process desirable
- An understanding of office and administrative procedures
- A good understanding of property defects
- Good knowledge of GDPR
- Knowledge of housing policy and procedures and the importance of following these.
- Previous experience of complaints handling and complaints investigation
- Excellent I.T skills including CRM system, SharePoint and MS packages including Excel
- Full UK Driving Licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
