We are currently seeking a Talent & Resourcing Officer to join our HR team. We operate a hybrid working model, with an expectation of 2 days per week working in the head office in Preston. Flexible working and homeworking options will be considered depending upon location and circumstances.

Purpose

Key Responsibilities
- Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
- Managing direct recruitment and employer presence on job boards.
- Creating job adverts that attract talent
- Pre-screening applicants and arranging interviews.
- Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
- Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff
- Manage the pre-employment checking process ensuring any delays or concerns are flagged to the HRBP and hiring manager.
- Build good working relationships with all line managers to better understand their needs and provide appropriate recruitment support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment partners including agencies
- Own the exit interview process, ensuring all voluntary leavers receive a call to understand the reasons behind leaving.
- Prepare reports on the cost of recruitment and reasons around attrition.

- A strong recruitment background
- Positive, proactive, solution-seeking attitude with a real passion for people
- Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
- Up to date with current employment legislation in regard to recruitment
- Have a 'can do' attitude and are a genuine self-starter
- Have attention to detail and understand the importance of accuracy
- Flexible with proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demand
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Resilient, able to remain calm and professional whilst under pressure.
- High integrity and a demonstrable commitment to ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong communication skills.

The benefits
- The salary for this role is circa £30,000 per annum based on experience.
