**Job Description**:
This role is to act as a project support officer within the Government, Health and Housing business at NEC Software Solutions. Projects can involve systems implementation and consultancy covering Housing, Public Protection, Revenues and Benefits, Health, Document Management or specific projects for central government (Blue Badge, HGV Charging for example). In addition to UK based projects NEC Software Solutions also has several international projects in Housing management based in Australia and Canada. Projects can vary in size and will usually be allocated to a project manager, where they act in a supplier delivery role. In addition, there are many small deliveries that do not require a project manager but still need to be actively managed.

NEC Software Solutions uses a professional services automation tool (KPSA) across the whole business, and the role of the project support officer will be to use this to provide support and oversight of all engagements within the Government, Health and Housing division (N.B. within KPSA, projects are known as engagements).

The role will involve working for the PMO Team Lead, as part of a dedicated PMO team and alongside project managers, team leads and various stakeholders across the business. The role will be office based with occasional remote working.

**Responsibilities**
- Main point of contact for offshore Kimble Operations Team and Resource Support Team in terms of queries relating to ownership and resource requirements.
- Act as the owner for any new deliverables in interim whilst the correct owner is identified and assigned.
- Ensure that all completed deliverables are closed, and that invoicing has been completed.
- Work with the Finance team to ensure that financial reporting is updated and accurate.
- Manage monthly processes in Kimble in terms of approvals, billing, and milestone management.
- Support the Project Managers in terms of building their knowledge and ensuring processes are adhered to, such as governance and forecasting.
- Use various reporting tools to manage deliverables effectively.
- Complete other PMO related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Structured & proactive approach with an attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to learn new skills quickly

**Desirable**:

- Understanding of business areas within Government & Housing including commercial aspects
- Willingness to travel in the UK
