**Job summary**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with an interest in Acquisition Safety & Environmental management to join an established team working on varied projects within Defence Digital.

This post provides the opportunity to develop into an Acquisition Safety & Environmental Officer. Specialist training is available, with full support provided towards your professional development.

The Tactical Systems Team is an organisation of nearly 400 people spread across 8 different sites who are responsible for the development, fielding and sustainment of a range of tactical communications and information systems used in the joint Land Environment.

**Job description**:
Working within an experienced Acquisition Safety & Environmental (ASE) Team, responsible for undertaking ASE management activities on Tactical Systems projects governed through an established Management System.

Acquisition Safety and Environmental (ASE) Officers work within a team which provides assurance to the team leader across all ASE Management activities.

**Person specification**:
The job role activities include (but are not limited to):

- Assisting in ASE corporate reporting to Defence Digital.
- Management of ASE status spreadsheet.
- Management of ASE training spreadsheet.
- Management of equipment related incident spreadsheet.
- Assisting in internal audits and the hosting of external audits.
- Attending ASE meetings, to cover ASE reviews and incident management.
- Developing and maintaining ASE artefacts.
- Providing secretarial duties to the projects ASE meetings.
- Providing advice on safety and environmental policy and process to stakeholders.
