Human Resources Business Partner

Overview:
We're looking for a talented HR Business Partner to work for us here at Expleo Engineering.
This will be a 6 Month fixed term contract to cover maternity. This could be extended by another 3-6 months depending on the individuals ability to return to work.
**Responsibilities**:
- Participating in and leading HR projects to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of the HR function in supporting the goals and strategy of the business
- Ensuring decisions by and instructions from the HR Director are fully supported and implemented within the business
- Liaising with HR Administrator and TA team to ensure the correct process is followed for new joiners including system and payroll set up, induction meetings, probation reviews and regular touchpoints
- Advising managers on a range of employee relations issues including flexible working requests, poor job performance, attendance and misconduct
- General HR queries - dealing with queries from managers and employees when appropriate relating to all HR activities, escalating if appropriate
- Liaising with managers regarding planning in terms of headcount budget and forecast, for succession planning and other purposes on a regular basis
- Ensuring that necessary letters and other documentation are produced to confirm any changes of terms to employees
- Projects - working with the rest of the HR team on other activities and projects (local and international), attending team meetings and ensuring good communication on all HR topics
**Experience**:
- Solid advisory, operational and administration, within a busy human resources department
- Practical experience of dealing with complex employment relations issues
- Successfully operating in a fast paced matrix organisation
- Working effectively and inclusively with a range of people, both within and outside the organisation without losing sight of local & global HR goals
- Building and delivering professionalism through combining commercial and HR expertise to bring value to the organisation, stakeholders, and peers
- Initiative to seek out ways for HR to add value to the organisation

- A level 7 MCIPD or above CIPD (or Level 5 and working towards Level 7)
- Determination, resourcefulness, and purpose to deliver the best results for the organisation

- Courage and experience to speak up skillfully, challenging others, even when confronted with resistance or unfamiliar circumstances
- The ability to influence to gain the necessary commitment and support from stakeholders in pursuit of HR value to the organisation
- Understanding of the value of HR data and can quickly and easily identify key trends using data insights and knowledge in a structured way to identify options, make recommendations and make robust, defendable decisions
