This role is the starting point with this company.

**About the role**

The role of Project Administrator is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in project management. As a Project Administrator you will work as part of the Project Management team supporting our clients’ localization needs. You will be involved in a variety of projects and complete a range of tasks within these projects.

**Responsibilities**:
**Planning and delivery**
- Scope analysis and management - for different content types, prepare quotations.
- Project methodology - planning the steps within a project.
- Scheduling and monitoring project progress.
- Risk management - considering what could go wrong in a project and mitigating it.
- Quality management - checking translator instructions are correct, answering translator questions and managing translator assessments, glossary and style guide management.
- **Financial management - processing purchase orders, invoices and monitoring project costs.**

**Building relationships**

- Coordinating and instructing suppliers on next steps, to ensure products are delivered on time.

**Solving complex problems/driving improvement**
- ‘Bug’ reporting - reporting technical issues that arise in a project, and re-testing.

**Commercial awareness**
- Developing an awareness of our clients' needs and how we can best support them.
- Building relationships with colleagues and suppliers.

**Key skills**
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A keen eye with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- 12 months’ office-based work experience, preferably in a project-orientated environment or demonstrable experience of completing projects at university (office based experience is desirable but not an absolute essential, particularly if you are strong in other areas that matter to the company).

**Preferred skills**
- Confident with IT, with a strong interest in various software tools and technologies, including multimedia.
- An interest in languages and working in a multi-culture setting.
- A clear communicator, great at building relationships.
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a time constrained delivery environment.
- Organised and able to prioritise independently and adapt as situations change.
- Committed to developing a career in project management.

**Career progression**

This is an entry level role into project management. Project Administrators can progress and develop towards becoming a Project Manager in the longer term.

**Internal training**

During your first few months you’ll complete a comprehensive initial training plan via your involvement in live projects, designed to ensure you gain the experience and knowledge (competencies) required to build a strong foundation in project management.

**External training and certification**

The company also sponsors external training and professional accreditation with the Association for Project Management (APM), which is actively encouraged.

**Location**

This is a full-time, permanent position, with the office based in central Edinburgh. During the first year you will work full time in the office. After that, typically 3 days or more in the office.
