We are looking for an experienced and organised Administrator with excellent communication skills to provide research and project level support and expertise to research grants projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic team.

We work across the research lifecycle - growing ideas into proposals, projects and impact. We are enablers and connectors, networked across the University, able to provide the best advice to researchers and research leaders in all disciplines. We are part of a wider ecosystem of over 300 colleagues providing research support across the University of Edinburgh - linking through our Schools, Colleges and Service Groups.

**The Opportunity**

The Research Funding Team are seeking an **Administrator for Research Grants Projects **to provide project level support and expertise in administration to research project grants across the University. Working with project managers, other project administrator and profession service colleagues, you will play a key role in supporting the management and delivery of major cross-university projects through the Project Management Flexible Resource Centre.

The Administrator for Research Grants Projects will:

- Provide direct administrative support to project managers and project teams, and make effective operational administration decisions in your area of responsibility.
- Support reporting processes and other administration activities in the pursuit of meeting targets.
- Act as secretary and lead administrator to committees and co-ordinate the preparation of reports and other documents.
- Organise in person and overseas meetings and events and resolve logístical problems.
- Effectively manage information and act as the first point of contact for day to day correspondence.
- A degree or equivalent education/experience.
- An ability to work effectively as part a dynamic team and establish effective working relationships.
- The capacity and initiative to work independently and manage their own workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organisation and time management skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel, MS office and other IT skills.
