Our **Wilmington Events EMEA** team deliver successful events for a variety of leading brands within our portfolio of businesses including Health Service Journal (HSJ), International Compliance Association (ICA), AXCO and MiExact. Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will take the lead of product development and strategic growth for 3 major award programmes under HSJ; the prestigious HSJ Awards, the groundbreaking HSJ Partnership Awards and the innovative HSJ Digital Awards. With a responsibility for £2m+ revenue, you will drive the success of these esteemed events by identifying growth opportunities, undertaking market research, and ensuring event positioning and Spex propositions remain compelling year after year.

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to;
- Writing Product Plans for each Awards programme to set out the levers for growth both in product design and enabling cross-functional teams to achieve success.
- Leading the creation, development and delivery of the Awards portfolio, including new launches.
- Analysing feedback from our customers to review and evolve the commercial proposition for each awards programme.
- Undertake sponsorship research to validate new categories or plans to secure net new revenue from new vendor categories.
- Run weekly project meetings through the Entry campaign to ensure the marketing and campaign KPIs are on track to deliver budgeted entries
- Write separate value propositions for: delegates; sponsors and speakers.
- Monitoring the competitor market to identify risks & opportunities and sharing findings with the relevant teams.

Essential and desirable capabilities:

You will also need;- Experience in all areas of events production, including qualitative and quantitative research; copywriting and project management with a proven track record of commercial results.
- A good understanding of the commercial business practices that underpin conferences, a strong commercial awareness and a clear comprehension of P&L and basic business principles.
- Proactive approach, able to identify new opportunities.
- Experience of developing new growth concepts and managing through to delivery with demonstrable results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with good time management.
- Clear understanding of KPIs.
- Knowledge of healthcare desired, but not essential
