PinkNews is hiring for an Executive Producer as part of our continued growth journey. You will have the opportunity to work on content with a journalist approach and use your extensive skills to demonstrate exceptional editorial judgement.

PinkNews is the largest LGBTQ+ media publisher in the world. Our mission is to inform, inspire change and empower people to be themselves, we do so by reaching over 150 million unique users per month across our website, app and social platforms.

As Executive Producer you will report into the Head of Video and collaborate with our content, brand, partnerships and event teams. You will be a natural and proven leader with exceptional communication skills and will motivate and support the video team by line managing and mentoring team members. This role will work on shifts across the week and weekends, working a maximum of 1 in 4 weekends.

**Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE**

**Location**:Hybrid working - London office 2 days per week

**Working Hours**:This role will work at 37.5 hour week, to include shift work (shift details below).

**What you’ll be doing day to day**:

- Commission, oversee publish video content for PinkNews' owned and operated channels including, but not limited to Snapchat, TikTok, Youtube, Instagram and Facebook.
- Provide direct line management of team members, taking an active role in their development and progression.
- Lead on the production of creative and video concepts across all of PinkNews' channels including scriptwriting, editing and producing content.
- Be proactive in leading group learning sessions, upskilling and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Work with the Head of Video to develop and implement a video content and production strategy across all PinkNews platforms.
- Provide day-to-day management of the producers; resource planning, delegating, assigning tasks, reviewing work, providing feedback on edits.
- Oversee up to 5 Snapchat shows, ensuring their success and proactively identifying areas of opportunity.
- Liaise with external partners, influencers and other contacts, including PinkNews third party partners, to ensure PinkNews is optimising content and increasing brand visibility and reach.
- Generate ideas and deliver branded content campaigns for external partners.
- Monitor and track performance and trends to provide suggestions and insight into what content is resonating with our audience.
- Prioritise relevant content creation and platform management against identified PinkNews business goals.
- Film and edit video content using Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Ensure all material used is copyright cleared or the correct permissions have been sought.
- Be an inspiring leader and support the development of our production team.
- Innovate our video output ensuring we are staying at the forefront of video journalism and storytelling.
- Communicate with lawyers regarding any legal issues regarding pieces of work.
- Be the final line of responsibility for a piece of content before publishing.

**Skills you’ll need**:

- Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably within journalism or publishing.
- In depth understanding of how online video works.
- Experience implementing innovative new content strategies across a range of social platforms.
- Expert news sense and interest in Gen Z, pop culture and the LGBTQ+ community.
- Passion for creating award winning social video content through creative storytelling.
- Strong and inspirational leadership style with the ability to motivate and mentor teams.
- Expert media law knowledge.
- Expert scripting.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Skills in Adobe After Effects are highly desirable.
