**The role: Health and safety coordinator**
**Shifts: Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week - 12 Months contract**
**Location: Hexham / Remote**
Here at Kelly Services we are working with is one of Europe's largest electricity generators and heat producers. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 realising our vision of beingFossil Free in a generation. We are now looking for the right person to join our team as Health and Safety Coordinator supporting our Offshore Wind Health and Safety team.
**As Health and Safety Coordinator within Offshore Wind you have the following key responsibilities**:
- Be the Focal point for Health and Safety Information Technology systems including Dashboards, Reporting, statistics gathering and collation of key performance indicators.
- Coordinate Health and Safety Meetings, Working Groups and Committees.
- Administrate the Health and Safety Reporting system, Intelex.
- Once competent, deliver training to the business area in the use of Intelex
- Use the information in Intelex to drive Health and Safety risk and performance based actions.
- Monitor information from Intelex, Lessons Learned database, Health data and other Key performance indictors to highlight areas of concern, trigger investigation, audits and suggest corrective actions.
- Participate in internal audits, inspections and health and safety assessments as required.
- Conduct Trend and other analysis of the data to identify risks and opportunities and its Management system.
- Model safe behaviour and foster a culture supportive of Safety and Health.
- Provide Health and Safety support towards the Offshore Health and Safety Managers and Director;
- Coaching on areas within your own competence, Health and Safety topics including the Health and Safety Management System, the HSE plan, its implementation and the project legal (/other requirements) compliance;
- Support on Health and Safety within the procurement streams when required;
- Ensure all Health and Safety non-compliance, is communicated to the responsible manager, or where appropriate escalated towards the Health and Safety line organisation;
- Coordinate project health and safety training of the Offshore Health and Safety team, based on training needs analysis and the BA Wind training matrix and Annual HSE plan;
- Coordinate and maintain the project health and safety related records and documentation;
- Visit locations to verify the Health and Safety aspects within the BU Offshore are respected.
- Identify and implement Lessons Learned, through Safety alerts and awareness notices.
- Maintain liaison with Quality and EnSu functions for input and synergies for management system content.
- Assist the Emergency Response Officer in ensuring suitable and sufficient Emergency Response arrangements are in place and participate in drills and exercise to support the Emergency Response Team.
**Your profile as Health and Safety Coordinator within Offshore Wind**
- You have a higher (or equivalent) level education
- Competent in the use of IT systems including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, Edge, Teams, Forms.
- Experience with/or willingness to learn other packages including SAP, Intelex, Sharepoint, Netigate, or others which may arise.
- Relevant Health and Safety work experience in an international organisation, preferably within the marine, offshore, wind, Oil & Gas, energy or process industry sector;
- You hold a recognized qualification in Health and Safety (i.e. MVK/HVK, NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent or working towards);
- GWO certified or willingness to undertake such training:
- Conversant with relevant Health and Safety Legislation, Industry Practise, codes and standards
- Experience of safety management systems and H&S auditing;
- Experience with Client / Contractor/Stakeholder relationships & management;
- Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written;
- You are motivated and supportive of the vision to be Fossil free in a generation
