**THE SCHOOL**:
**We are a popular and oversubscribed mixed secondary school, catering for children between the ages of 11 and 18 years located in Northampton.**

The school boasts outstanding facilities in a modern well-kept stimulating environment.

**THE ROLE**:
To work alongside key school staff in school to:

- promote excellent attendance
- reduce levels of absence
- to provide admin support as and when
- To manage pupil attendance records and monitor of pupil attendance.
- To manage attendance processes in line with statutory responsibilities
- To maintain accurate attendance records and report on attendance and contribute to strategies that improve attendance
- To deal with enquiries and queries from parents
- To liaise with staff, students, parents, colleagues across the Trust and multi-agency partners to ensure that attendance processes are accurate and fit for purpose.
- To proactively challenge students and parents where students are not present, not on time or not in lesson to ensure that all learning opportunities are maximised

**WHOLE SCHOOL CONTRIBUTION**:

- Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals, in liaison with the teacher, to support achievement and progress of pupils.
- Take the initiative as appropriate to develop appropriate multi-agency approaches to supporting pupils.
- Recognise own strengths and areas of specialist expertise and use these to lead, advise and support others

**NECESSARY ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:

- Experience working with secondary school aged children
- Ability to relate well with children
- Experience working with databases and Microsoft Office packages
- Dealing with customers and the public
- To work effectively as part of a team
- To be highly organised and plan effectively
- Show empathy and sensitivity with pupils and parents depending on their home circumstances
- Ability to communicate on all levels (staff, students, parents/carers, external agencies)
- Be proactive and able to work on own initiative
- Demonstrate excellent role model behaviour
- Have resilience and hold high standards

**THE SALARY**:
£22,975 - £25,654 (depending on experience)

37 hours per week

42 weeks per year. Term time, training days, plus 3 additional weeks
