**Job summary**:
The Commercial Capability function enables commercial and contract management professionals within central government departments and the wider public sector to enhance their expertise, skills and capabilities through the provision of training & development, advice and guidance. It also supports the Government Commercial Organisation.

The Partnerships Team is a fundamental part of this function. It was established to; build strong relationships with decision makers and customers, facilitate commercial and contract management training & development and accreditation, and provide support and guidance on the range of services offered by the Government Commercial Function.

Within the team, a Partnership Manager is responsible for building and managing the relationships across central government departments and wider public sector organisations, acting as an advisor to senior commercial stakeholders, championing and promoting and facilitating access to the Commercial Capability Programme training & development offering, and working strategically on delivery plans and reporting.

The Partnerships Support Officer will provide a comprehensive package of support, in a number of aspects, to the Deputy Director, Partnerships Managers, and the team as a whole.

Partnerships Support Officers support the Partnership Managers through a diverse range of activities to provide a comprehensive and effective administration service and ensure the smooth operation of the department.

The role holder will have a strong focus on continuous improvement as we maintain the delivery of great service to our customers across government. You will be at the forefront of influencing and driving change. There are a number of exciting projects planned and the successful applicants will be involved in supporting the team as the Partnerships Team expands the Contract Management and Commercial Capability outputs.

You will be highly organised with strong analytical skills enabling you to interpret information from multiple stakeholders and action accordingly.

You will have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build rapport with ease with our customers and the Senior Leadership Team.

**Job description**:
**Duties Include**:

- Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Lead on effective data analysis and reporting
- Organising team and external meetings, and associated agendas and action points
- Mailbox management - dealing with customer queries in a timely manner
- Responsibility for booking processes using various spreadsheets
- Organising, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings as required
- Integration and implementation of Custom Relationship Management software
- Ensure organisational tasks are carried out efficiently
- Responsibility for managing the day to day work
- Providing administrative support to the Partnerships Managers

**Person specification**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to articulate solutions to the team, wider team, and stakeholders
- Ability to deliver on time to the highest quality even in ambiguous circumstances
- Experience of providing a high-quality support service to high performing teams
- Strong IT skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and able to become familiar with the Google suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- An ability to prioritise and manage your own workload

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience of working on events, conferences and webinars - both in person-and virtual
- Experience of Microsoft Teams for setting up meetings, focus groups and webinars, and working the ‘back of house’ function for webinars and conferences

There may be further projects, tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role as it builds, along with any other duties as may reasonably be required by your line manager.

The Partnerships Team is based across a number of government sites. Travel will be required on an ad hoc basis for team meetings and wider function away days (expenses payable in line with civil service policy).
