Project Overview

The Subway is undergoing a significant £288 million modernization initiative, aimed at transforming it into one of the most advanced transit systems in Europe. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the first full Unattended Train Operation (UTO) system in the UK.

Role Overview

The Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) plays a crucial role in ensuring the Subway operates efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and assembling materials for maintenance activities.
  • Utilizing stores management systems to issue parts and manage purchase orders.
  • Conducting forklift operations, including daily inspections.
  • Liaising with suppliers and overseeing the management of calibrated tools.

This position offers the chance to enhance your skills and experience in line with our modernization efforts and the introduction of new assets.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be motivated, dependable, and possess:

  • Experience as a Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) with a focus on parts kitting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with forklift operations and digital stock control systems, including stock audits and inspections.

A positive mindset and adaptability to changing environments are essential, along with strong communication skills to work independently or collaboratively.
