About the Role

Paths for All Partnership is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Development Officer to join our team in promoting physical activity and walking in Shetland. The successful candidate will work in partnership with local workplaces, including NHS Shetland and Shetland Islands Council, to develop and implement a high-quality programme of surveys, travel planning, and walking interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver workplace assessments to identify barriers to walking and active travel
  • Develop and roll out a programme of incentives, promotions, and encouragement to increase walking and active travel
  • Recruit and manage volunteer workplace champions to support the programme
  • Build relationships with local workplaces and stakeholders to promote physical activity and walking
Requirements
  • Passion for physical activity and enthusiasm for promoting walking and active travel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
