Job Title: Senior Development Officer - Children and Young People

Job Summary:

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing community empowerment strategies that align with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a community empowerment strategic plan in partnership with the Board, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop projects and partnerships with community members, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including session providers, funders, local authorities, and other third sector organizations.
  • Fundraising and Financial Management: Lead fundraising initiatives, secure sustainable funding streams, and manage financial resources to ensure the organization's stability and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the third sector or a related field.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate detailed data analysis, knowledge, and vision into actionable plans.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with experience in managing budgets and securing funding.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as social work, community development, or a related field.
